Club Vosgien Strasbourg

Vallée de la Bruche

Description

When it was created on 1872 November the 9th, the Club Vosgien Strasbourg did not have a sector of its own to mark. It was only later that he took charge of the “Champ du Feu” sector. Why the “Champ du Feu” ? Probably because the city of Strasbourg has a vast forest area there between the Rothlach, the Hohwald and the Champ du Feu.

The Strasbourg sector then extended between Rothau, the Rothlach and the Climont.

The first paths were laid out around the Climont to reach the new tower which had been inaugurated in 1897. The "Strassburger Weg" (yellow cross) takes hikers to the summit. A circular path (yellow ring) allowed and still allows you to go around the Champ du Feu. And it was necessary to create paths to reach the Métairie; the Schwebel trail (red triangle) connects Natzwiller to the site of the old refuge, which has now disappeared.
